For the MNO Capstone course, she served as the Art Director for Bellwethr, a tablet-only magazine prototype. During her time in the course, she demonstrated an excellent work ethic inside and outside of the classroom, as she continually challenged herself and had a drive to learn the software and process for designing a magazine for the tablet. In addition, she took on the everyday tasks of an art director, including managing deadlines, photo shoots, and other managerial tasks to ensure the success of the magazine. Some of the important skill sets she acquired in class will make her an excellent candidate for careers in graphic design and digital publishing. In addition, she went above and beyond the requirements of the class by staying late into the evening, and continued to finish and clean up the magazine so it was ready to be published into the Apple iTunes store. It is Miriam's relentless drive and desire to continually refine her design skills that will make her an excellent candidate wherever she works.
