I participated on the founding and I am part of the Board of The Erlang Ecosystem Foundation. A non-profit organization dedicated to furthering the state of the art for Erlang, Elixir, LFE, and other technologies based on the BEAM. Our goal is to increase the adoption of this sophisticated platform among forward-thinking organizations.Beyond my duties as a Board member, I have taken a role in:- Managing the student and diversity program that allows people to attend conferences free of charge.- Member of Marketing, Sponsorship, Education & Fellowship WG.

This requires that I not only keep high level vigilance over the business goals, but also pay attention to the implementation details.I provide architectural guidance and oversight throughout multiple services and projects across business units. My main areas of focus encompass the marketing pixel for on-site data collection, ecommerce integrations, segmentation pipelines, automatization, etc.; with the end goal of effectively targeting & delivering display ads and email products.

I was the Technical Lead on the AdServers team. Managing a distributed, high available, scalable multi-region Erlang cluster that handles hundreds of thousands of requests per second. The cluster collects customer's browsing behavior, impressions and click data; forwarding this data downstream to be consumed by the segmentation and attribution pipelines.

I lead the growth and evolution of the Erlang/OTP XMPP-based chat platform for the social network Tuenti –the biggest in Spain at the time. I evolved the ejabberd-based service to comfortably serving 1 million concurrent users connected through different web and mobile devices.My duties included early on stabilization of the ejabberd installation, customizing it to scale up to support peak concurrent user bursts –including their waves of rosters–, and development of new features as group chat or persistent chat message storage.
