Local Authority portfolio work: • Engaged with early-stage projects, collaborating with local authorities across a varied portfolio of transport hub projects, feeding into long-term strategies such as active travel aspirations within local councils. • Balanced various requirements, demands and strategic fit of the businesses involved to reach an outcome which all parties could agree to take forward. Ebbw Vale frequency enhancements and Park Junction improvements: • Supported Ebbw Vale line capacity increase through leading the station change workstream, enabling alterations to the platforms at Llanhilleth and Newbridge stations. Received acceptance by the ORR in May 2022 to proceed.• Delivered the project team charter to facilitate cross-functional and cross organisation team working across the five companies delivering the project. Ninian Park autotransformer feeder station: • Accelerated the project delivery to fit with business needs for the client and considering the various tradeoffs required, such as increased costs against other financial pressures, feasibility and how to achieve the desired benefits in the restricted timescales. Collaborated across organisations for potential solutions and collectively agreed an approach with the buy-in of all necessary parties. • Managed integration of project into wider portfolio across the Canton scope to ensure identification and resolution of conflicting work.

Leading on and Supporting several key infrastructure projects including Metro Area station improvement works, the Ninian Park autotransformer feeder station, track and station enhancements in Penarth and depot enhancements in Holyhead. Supported the delivery of the CSM workstream as part of the Core Valley Line divestment. • Managed CSM-RA workstream for the Core Valley Line divestment project and successfully delivered a hazard record in order to receive the SAR necessary for the 2020 Core Valley Lines divestment to Transport for Wales• Engaged with internal and external stakeholders at various levels across projects, utilising persuasive and negotiating skillset in order to reach successful resolutions• Represented at projects at associated panels• Authored multiple sections of the System Safety Plan in accordance with CSMRA and in a coherent and concise manner which gained ASBO approval. • Mapped complex processes and information and refined them into diagrams which could be successfully understood, Managed multidisciplinary stakeholders at various levels within Network Rail, organised and chaired information gathering sessions in order to do so. • Led and delivered digital and physical asset demarcation project for distinguishing Network Rail assets from what would become Core Valley Lines assets and property of Transport for Wales. • Investigated necessary boundary marking parameters, both digital and physical, for boundaries post Core Valley Lines transfer. • Co-authored authority papers for projects developed project estimates and successfully obtained authority funding for the railway infrastructure projects I’m currently leading. • Completed various contracts which included negotiating project’s principles with client in order to achieve the best outcome for both parties. • Undertaken various lessons learned sessions and prepared presentation pack• Facilitated key meetings between key Network Rail stakeholders and external customers

OPERATIONS PLACEMENT • Led and delivered a project to restructure the health and safety information displays across South Wales operational locations. • Applied project methodologies for implementation; identified and assessed scope and risks, managed change to see the project through to completion. Identified and coordinated with key stakeholders.• Built knowledge of the relevant standards within National Operating Procedures to ensure project compliance.ACCESS PLANNING PLACEMENT• Developed knowledge of planning processes and timescales. • As part of the project team involved in change projects such as Evolving KPI/ T+1 tracking and proposed new onboarding processes resulting in authoring an access planning induction document.• Identified areas of improvement in current planning tools and processes and updated document formats to increase usability and productivity. • Identified an opportunity to update reporting systems for tracking performance using Power BI. Currently taking the lead with implementing this change project within the team. This will enable the team to be more customer focused through easy tracking and identifying areas for improvement relating to possessions and worksites for external contractors.HR PLACEMENT • Accountable for designing and developing a new induction process; an improvement measure relating to the induction process of new members of staff joining the Wales route.• Collaborated across departments with the Change team and HR for a method which can be rolled out across any department when a person joins the Wales route. • Applied project methodologies and tools including risk and change management to ensure the success criteria is monitored and reached within the agreed timeframe. • Defined our success criteria with our relevant executive stakeholder and delivered regular progress reports to stakeholders.
