As the collective voice of Canada's geothermal energy industry, CanGEA's primary goal is unlocking the country's tremendous geothermal energy potential. In supporting CanGEA's initiatives, I spearheaded the development of a Global Protocol for estimating geothermal resources in Canada, established a publicly accessible Canadian National Geothermal Database, provided technical insight to scientific reports on geothermal energy in Canada, managed geothermal projects supported by members, and assisted with marketing initiatives, community outreach and annual events hosted by CanGEA.

The Geological Survey of Canada (Calgary) is a division of Natural Resources Canada. As physical scientist, I played an important role in sharing information and expertise on the geology, geochemistry, geophysics and resource potential of the sedimentary basins in western and northern Canada, which contain most of Canada's known oil, natural gas, geothermal and coal resources, as well as important deposits of minerals. Investigating future energy resources, I managed the Geothermal Energy Program, establishing digital databases of pertinent data and information and co-wrote a 330 page national report on the Geothermal Energy Resource Potential of Canada.

The International Student Energy Summit (ISES) is a global non-profit organization and biennial event which represents a movement of young leaders committed to transitioning the world to a sustainable energy future. As an instrumental member of the first-ever ISES, I attracted over 300 student delegates and industry experts from over 30 countries. Our purpose was to help transition the world to a sustainable energy future, while our mission is to open the eyes of the world's students to all perspectives on energy.
