Hello! I am a Davidson College alum working currently as a research associate for the Van den Brink laboratory. I am seeking opportunities that will inform my future work as a doctor providing evidence-based care to underserved communities. I am a passionate learner, especially on topics regarding disparities in health and education. I am eager to understand both the biological and social factors that lead to such disparities and the best way to address them. These interests have led me to work closely with groups that are underserved or underrepresented in medicine, volunteering at a low-cost community clinic and working on the e-board of Questbridge (QB) and the Minority Association of Pre-medicine Students (MAPS). Alongside the staff at the clinic and the e-board of QB and MAPS, we are bridging the gaps in care and resource-access while I continue to build my competencies in biology and research.
