Mirjam Gevers is an expert in the field of child care quality, child development and child rearing issues. Her mission is to apply evidence-based knowledge to practical methods and tools that improve the quality of child care.Mirjam is known for her ability to deeply understand the pedagogical practices and contextual issues across a range of child care organizations, drawing from 15 years of scientific research (PhD) and practical consultancy experience in the field. For each case under investigation, she uses the appropriate methods to assess and optimize the quality of care and development needed.Currently, Mirjam is leading the department Monitoring & Science of the largest child care organization in the Netherlands: Partou. The department (established in 2018) facilitates pedagogical (applied) research from leading Dutch universities and institutes. Since 2020, Mirjam leaded the department through its next phase of professionalization by extending its activities that include 1) initiation of innovative research and pilot projects and 2) the development and implementation of monitoring systems to provide significant and reliable indicators of child care quality, child development and indicators for staff education/training priorities.
