From October 2016 to December 2017 I was part of a team aiming to design new solutions and to harmonize business processes in order to foster the digital transformation of the Company. In 2017 I also dealt with sustainability indicators for cities and applied to the agricultural sector.From August 2010 to October 2016 I worked in the Energy Forecasting and Trading Unit, whose main aim is to forecast and sell on the spot market the electricity produced from variable renewable energy plants (around 500,000) that GSE purchases. Among other activities, I managed the satellite metering system, a project with the aim of minimizing price volatility and energy unbalances. In particular, I followed all the steps from the testing phases of the devices until the final set-up of the infrastructure, the validation of production measures acquired in real time, data analysis and forecasts, statistics and all the business activities related to the project (i.e. economics, coordinating human resources, business planning, accounting, ICT, reporting, problem solving, legal issues, etc.). From 2014 to 2016 I also dealt with the curtailed wind generation and with the management control of the Unit. In 2010 I was in the CEO Staff coordinating other small projects, supporting the CEO in his daily activity (national and international). I analysed data to prepare reports and summaries; I also wrote CEO’s speaking notes, working closely with the Energy Department of the Ministry.

International affairs analyst seconded from GSE S.p.A. (Italian Agency for Energy Services) to the Office of the Diplomatic Counselor and to the Technical Cabinet of the Minister of Economic Development. I analysed economic data and selected information to prepare the dossiers for the international activities of the Minister. A standard dossier includes speaking notes, summaries on political-economic situation of the partner country, bilateral relations with Italy (historical relations, FDI and main investments, disputes, import-export trade analysis) and other specific policy reports. The Ministry has several competences, I was in charge of international energy issues (renewable energy technologies, energy efficiency, gas infrastructures, merchant lines, carbon capture and storage, nuclear power), but I dealt also with international trade and industry. In addition, I coordinated several activities with Italian and foreign embassies and acted as liaison officer for the Brazilian delegation during the G8 Energy Ministers’ Meeting held in Rome in 2009.

Supporting the Director in the management of the Environmental Policy Group, I coordinated the members of the industry association in order to achieve a common position on topical issues such as eco-design of energy-using products, energy labelling, EU Energy Star Programme, ICT for energy efficiency. Smoothing and supervising the process of position papers' submission, my main tasks were to ensure that procedures were followed correctly, deadlines respected and documents sent. I also represented EICTA in seminars and meetings at EU institutions and in other policy fora.

Research assistant at Bocconi University – IEFE: Centre for Research on Energy and Environmental Economics and Policy. From December 2007 to February 2008 research program on policy tools for energy efficiency and renewable energies: in particular, I used learning curves to analyze and estimate the future costs of photovoltaics, wind on-shore and off-shore, solar thermal and biomass technologies in Italy (cf. publication section). In March 2008 I moved to Bruxelles, but I continued the collaboration with IEFE as off-site personnel: I drafted a cost analysis of CCS (carbon capture and storage) technology and I prepared an economic assessment of nuclear power in Italy (cf. publication section).

Official trainee (blue book stagiere) in the Unit 5 - Programme Culture - at the Educational, Audiovisual and Culture Executive Agency (EACEA) of the European Commission, contributing to the project selection and to the project management. I handled projects, conducting a financial and economic study and analyzing experts' comments. My duties were also the preparation of contracts for the cultural contact points and the general support to project officers with training seminars and throughout the project life cycle.

I presented an economic and financial consultation on the feasibility of APCTT's publication strategy. Furthermore, I was involved in the analytical research to enhance the capacity of institutions/intermediaries to deliver technology transfer services in order to improve the competitiveness of SMEs: as a content developer for the business information project "Business Asia", I assisted in working out functional improvements in the portal http://www.business-asia.net/ (e.g. providing basic information required to start up a business, attract FDI, find a joint venture partner). I also took part actively in conferences and meetings with representatives of Indian institutions on behalf of APCTT.

The main activities were military training, practice flying and flying theory. I also started to attend courses of mathematics and statistics.

After two years at "Liceo Scientifico Galileo Galilei" in Manfredonia (Foggia), I attended the last three years of high school at the Military School of the Italian Army in Milan. As a volunteer cadet, a part from the standard education in scientific studies (focus on mathematics, physics and computer science), the main activities were military training and strategic courses, sports, language courses and encampment.
