Economist with significant experience within the energy sector. Interested in environmental and energy issues, in international affairs and in the field of economic and public policy (national governments and international organizations).I hold a PhD in socio-economics and statistical studies (Sapienza University, 2016) and a master’s degree in economics (Bocconi University, 2007). I was an intern at the United Nations in New Delhi and then a researcher at IEFE Bocconi, where I dealt with projects on renewable energy technologies. In 2008, I worked in Brussels at the European Commission and at DigitalEurope. In 2009 and 2010, I served as an international affairs analyst in charge of energy issues within the Italian Ministry of Economic Development. From 2010 to 2017, I worked at GSE (Italian Agency for Energy Services) mainly within the energy forecasting and trading unit, dealing with variable renewable energy issues.In January 2018 I joined Enel Foundation, bringing my experience in renewable energy technologies, electricity markets and sustainability.

Economist - Business AnalystGse (Gestore Servizi Energetici) Jun 2010 - Dec 2017Rome Area, ItalyFrom October 2016 to December 2017 I was part of a team aiming to design new solutions and to harmonize business processes in order to foster the digital transformation of the Company. In 2017 I also dealt with sustainability indicators for cities and applied to the agricultural sector.From August 2010 to October 2016 I worked in the Energy Forecasting and Trading Unit, whose main aim is to forecast and sell on the spot market the electricity produced from variable renewable energy plants (around 500,000) that GSE purchases. Among other activities, I managed the satellite metering system, a project with the aim of minimizing price volatility and energy unbalances. In particular, I followed all the steps from the testing phases of the devices until the final set-up of the infrastructure, the validation of production measures acquired in real time, data analysis and forecasts, statistics and all the business activities related to the project (i.e. economics, coordinating human resources, business planning, accounting, ICT, reporting, problem solving, legal issues, etc.). From 2014 to 2016 I also dealt with the curtailed wind generation and with the management control of the Unit. In 2010 I was in the CEO Staff coordinating other small projects, supporting the CEO in his daily activity (national and international). I analysed data to prepare reports and summaries; I also wrote CEO’s speaking notes, working closely with the Energy Department of the Ministry. -

(Italian Agency for Energy Services) to the Office of the Diplomatic Counselor and to the Technical Cabinet of the Minister of Economic Development. I analysed economic data and selected information to prepare the dossiers for the international activities of the Minister. A standard dossier includes speaking notes, summaries on political-economic situation of the partner country, bilateral relations with Italy (historical relations, FDI and main investments, disputes, import-export trade analysis) and other specific policy reports. The Ministry has several competences, I was in charge of international energy issues (renewable energy technologies, energy efficiency, gas infrastructures, merchant lines, carbon capture and storage, nuclear power), but I dealt also with international trade and industry. In addition, I coordinated several activities with Italian and foreign embassies and acted as liaison officer for the Brazilian delegation during the G8 Energy Ministers’ Meeting held in Rome in 2009. -
