My main area of expertise is in direct investment issues and incentives for Croatia and South-East Europe (SEE). Most recently, I have expanded my expertise on sustainability leadership, corporate responsibility, climate change, and strategy for environmental, social and governance (ESG) engagement. I have set up VentureXchange Ltd., a boutique consulting firm, initially specialised in access-to-finance research studies for the international financing institutions (IFIs) looking for market development or investment opportunities in SEE. VentureXchange Ltd. services include financial and business advisory services for investors and corporates including strategy for ESG engagement, scaling up, turnaround/restructuring; private equity and venture capital advisory services including deal origination and integration of ESG objectives at the fund and portfolio company level; and bespoke market research for clients. For a decade, I have successfully combined the high-profile consultancy assignments and academia, working as a Lecturer at the Zagreb School of Economics and Management. CVCA’s mission is to facilitate the creation of an environment that will foster Private Equity and Venture Capital investment in Croatia and the neighbouring region as an important ingredient for development and growth of entrepreneurship, capital markets and the economy in general. As President and one of the founders, I spearhead the organisation from the start and my main responsabilities include organising conferences, seminars and workshops for entrepreneurs interested in private equity and venture capital financing. I also engage in improving the legal and regulatory environment for private equity and venture capital development in Croatia and I work in close conjunction with national bodies (including BICRO, Agency for Promotion of Trade and Investment, Croatian Chamber of Commerce (HGK), Croatian Employers’ Association (HUP), Croatian Pension Funds’ Industry Association (UMFO)) and international organisations (World Bank sponsored project VENCRO, European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), European Investment Fund (EIF)). In addition, I organise and participate at international competitions for private equity and venture capital financing as president or member of expert committee evaluating projects or company proposals in various sectors (CVCA/ VentureXchange competitions, Europe Unlimited, Balkan Unlimited, Start-up Weekends, VIBE). I am a regular speaker at international conferences, conducting reseach reports and presentations to deliver at such conferences. Most notable achievements in this role include:• Organising successfully the largest private equity gathering in the region, with over 400 delegates and 50 speakers, which was the Second Private Equity in SEE of 23 & 24 February 2010, Zagreb; • Acquiring a membership with the CEE Task Force, European Private Equity and Venture Capital Association (EVCA); • Becoming a Member of EVCA National Committee.

TMA is a Professional Association of Corporate Restructuring Professionals with more than 9,300 members and 50 chapters worldwide. I assumed the key role in establishing TMA Croatia, local country chapter of TMA Global. The objective of TMA Croatia is to become a great forum to discuss the best practices in restructuring, establish international professional contacts and to source rescue capital to finance corporate recovery plans. From the beginning, I have been one of the key driving forces of TMA Croatia. From March 2015 to June 2017 I was the First Vice President and primarily in charge of Events and Public Relations. In June 2017, I was elected President of TMA Croatia.
