Founding leader of the Department for Performance audit at the Court of Audit of the Republic of Slovenia. Since the establishment of the Department in 2005 we have audited all governmental sectors (some of them many, many times). We were concerned with issues in the fields of sustainability, environment, health, education, IT, social affairs, aging population and many others.Setting up, leading and developing the department for Performance, IT and Environmental Audits, at the time the largest and most visible department..Organizing and leading the work, developing and recruiting the personnel, quality assurance, preparing standards, planning, educating, reporting to the media, general public and to the Parliament.Sometimes also providing leadership and support for larger or technically challenging projects of the Court.Supreme State Auditor with the longest mandate in the history of the Republic of Slovenia.

Temporary additional SSA responsibility: Audit of the execution of the Annual Financial and Compliance Audit of the State Budget for year 2015.

Involved in the program titled Public Financial Management in the South Caucasus. It is a regional program of technical cooperation between the governments of Germany, Georgia and Armenia. The aim of the program is to strengthen capacities in the public finance system and thereby foster transparency, accountability and efficiency in the way that public funds are used. Helping the SAO staff in selecting, planning and conducting performance audits, quality assurance and training of auditors.

Temporarily holding also the position of the Head of the Department B1 (Department for Auditing Governmental and Non-Governmental Users of the State Budget, Judicial Users of the State Budget and Political Parties) until the designation of a new Supreme State Auditor.

After the abolition of the Ministry of Information Society, the same work as at the Ministry of Information Society continued at then newly established Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Technology.

First employee of newly established Ministry of Information Society included in almost all aspects and areas of its work.Development, negotiation and implementation of different ICT policy areas (harmonization in EU accession process, cooperation with Parliament, interest groups and civil society).Extensive work in the area of legislature preparation (Public Information Act, FOSS policies, Act on Electronic Signature, Penalty Code, Cybercrime Convention etc.)Free and open source movement development (author of Government policy towards FOSS).Close cooperation with many ministries and governmental bodies in different fields (security, transportation, public access points, databases etc.)Member of many programme and working groups (international and domestic).Mentorship to younger colleagues. Leading the Support Business Unit and member of the Management Board.Internal support for fast growing company (from 30 to over 100 employees in several months).Part of organization of external support for clients (largest Slovenian banks), testing and implementation.Implementation and maintenance of external clients support and issue tracking and resolving system.Other support activities.

Masters of Science and Doctorate of Science student working independently and in group on several research and industrial projects in the field of the automation of industrial processes.Giving laboratory lectures to undergraduate students (9th semester) and co-mentoring postgraduate students (some of them were awarded with highest students awards and received their doctorate honors). Postgraduate international exchange at Centre for Systems and Control, University of Glasgow, Scotland, Fachhochschule Hannover, Germany and Fakultet elektrotehnike, Univerzitet u Tuzli, Bosnia and Herzegovina.
