As a physics associate, my job entailed 3 primary responsibilities:1) Internal consultant: I provided support to radiation oncologists, dosimetrists and therapists with complex technological issues - both hardware and software.2) Implemented and delivered a quality assurance program to ensure safe and accurate delivery of radiation therapy.3) Research and development: I worked with a team of medical physicists to improve the quality and safety of radiation therapy. My project aimed to incorporate tumor motion (caused by breathing) into treatment plans. To-day most therapy plans treat the patient as a still object. The natural next step is to account for breathing motion and thereby enable safer and more accurate dose delivery.

High energy physics detector development.Created a computer simulation to describe a charged particle tracking detector. Devised a mathematical description of the detector processes and translated them into C++. Calculated the charge deposited on a readout pad and modeled the electronic signal produced. The funding for this job was originally awarded by NSERC for academic excellence.

Taught various university classes in the departments of Physics and Statistics.Selected to be a TA based on academic merit.Recognized by students as the best TA for quality of teaching, empathy and patience.

Devised analysis methods and developed software to extract and analyze proton-proton collision data. Analysed vast amounts of data to infer the properties of the ATLAS detector and to guide future research efforts. Communicated complex ideas to a variety of audiences at weekly collaboration meetings, research workshops and annual international conferences. Published a paper describing my research in the European Physics Journal. Collaborated with a team of more than 3000 individuals in the ATLAS experiment. Contributed in the efforts of the potential discovery of the Higgs boson.

Developed customized training and diet programs for clients and trained them one-on-one while emphasizing proper technique.
