A Los Angeles native and current UC Berkeley student with a passion for model building, woodworking, and backpacking. Through his professional experience at the Center for Access to Engineering Excellence (CAEE) and numerous extracurricular activities, he has extensive experience in leadership and communication roles. Along with skills in project management, 3D modeling, the Japanese language, and manufacturing processes, he supported the creation of the Culver City High School Robotics and Engineering class where he designed and taught the course along with the teacher. Resilient, flexible, and open-minded, Miro welcomes difficult challenges and finds the process of overcoming them enjoyable. After receiving his bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, Miro Yoshiki Garrett plans to delve into fluid mechanics research, or work as a design engineer at a company focusing on innovating renewable and sustainable energy systems.
