My position at the Women's Resource Center was expansive-- including event planning, peer education, and administrative duties for the center. I participated in weekly meetings with colleagues, during which we would discuss strategies for community organizing. I was tasked with planning, organizing, and hosting a variety show at a local venue, which generated interest in my organization and uplifted local creators. I coordinated a 'What I Was Wearing' gallery presentation in collaboration with various other on-campus interest groups. I presented to classrooms of my peers, facilitating conversations around consent, bystander intervention, and sexual violence prevention. This role opened the door for me to speak at Oregon Coalition Against Domestic and Sexual Violence's (OCADSV) annual conference, talking to groups of professionals in the field of violence prevention about the power of peer education. I also served as a teacher's assistant for a college class entitled Strategies for Teaching Sexual Wellness.
