Mansfield Timberview High School- Oversaw and led the science department and AVID program- Coached science teachers on improving Tier 1 instruction through activities that improved learner engagement instead of learner compliance as well as worked with advanced and AP teachers to improve the level of rigor in their classrooms using the Hess Depth of Knowledge Cognitive Rigor Matrix- Individually coached teachers across subject areas out of the science department on re-framing their lessons with design thinking in mind- Served on the campus guiding coalition and empowered teachers in creating and delivering professional development based on their individual strengths - Re-designed our campus PLC agenda to ensure collaborative teams have deep and purposeful discussions centered around the four questions of the PLC process. After piloting the agenda and gathering feedback from teachers on its usability, I led a campus sub-committee made up of guiding coalition members to revisit the PLC agenda and re-design it again for a second iteration- Tightened PLC processes on campus to ensure teachers are deeply diving into data to make informed instructional decisions- Created the Cadence of Accountability walkthrough form based on the administrative team's needs that focused on content, context, and cognitive levels of lesson delivery and provided immediate feedback to the teacher- Led a root-cause analysis among the administrative team to ensure calibration and fidelity of instructional walkthroughs and the coaching cycle- Facilitated public relations through a weekly newsletter that was well-received by the THS community and managed campus social media accounts- Co-led the Capturing Kids Hearts initiative- Served on Mansfield ISD's Long Range Planning Committee whose purpose was to utilize the district’s long-range plans, bond capacity, facilities’ studies, and other relevant information to develop a plan of action for the district

Alma Martinez Intermediate School, STEM & Fine Arts Academies- Oversaw STEM academy: Conducted frequent walkthroughs and provided timely feedback to STEM Designers on STEM integration lessons to ensure fidelity and alignment to district processes as well as Texas EcosySTEM framework; oversaw STEM PLC's in 5th and 6th grade where core and elective designers collaborated to design integration lessons and semester-long PBL's that aligned with Gold Standard PBL framework; individually coached core designers and conducted planning days for both 5th and 6th grade teams; created a seamless system for designers to transition to different spaces within the academy to align to the fundamental understanding that learning happens everywhere; created a STEM 101 guide for new-to-STEM designers to ensure their success in the STEM academy- Led the Cadence of Accountability for STEM: Through this process, designers focused on fine tuning their STEM integration lessons and curated lessons around developing the STEM Habits of Mind. Through the COA process, we saw there was a direct, positive correlation between the increasing number of quality integration lessons and learner achievement- Oversaw 5th and 6th grade math departments in the comprehensive campus and coached teachers on utilizing small group instruction in their classrooms - Collaborated with administrative team to create and improve campus processes for a campus in its second year- Collaborated with teachers and administrators across the district as part of a design team to develop the Mansfield ISD Academy for Innovative Teaching (MAIT). MAIT serves to inspire teachers across the district to foster innovative teaching practices in their classrooms.- Participated in the MISD Training Innovative Principals Symposium
