I served as the Project Coordinator for a three-year EU Horizon2020 research initiative titled "REFUGE-ED: Effective Practices in Education, Mental Health, and Psychosocial Support for the Integration of Refugee Children." This project was executed in collaboration with a consortium comprising nine partners, including prominent universities and non-governmental organizations (NGOs) from five European Union countries. Our goal was to develop and implement best practices to support the educational and psychosocial needs of refugee children, ensuring their successful integration into host communities.

Afghanistan

Implementation of infrastructure projects in the field of water sanitation and hygiene, school construction, children's playgrounds, safe spaces, and retaining walls for the purpose of natural disaster risk mitigation. Budget planning and financial overseeing of project development and communication with donors to ensure successful execution and compliance with organizational goals. Livelihoods & capacity/skills building for refugees, IDPs, and returnees reintegration & repatriation programs across many provinces in Afghanistan.

Kabul University

Responsibilities included analyzing structural configurations, calculating pressures and stresses on components, and assessing material strength for structural design. Collaborated with architects for safe, aesthetically fitting designs, and examined at-risk structures to advise on integrity improvements. Created drawings, specifications, and computer models for contractors, investigated ground conditions, and ensured structural soundness of new buildings. Utilized expert knowledge and CAD technology for simulations.

Kabul International Airport

Specialized in Auto CAD 2D/3D, design, analyses and detailed drawings for construction projects. And contributing significantly to various infrastructural initiatives in an airport construction project, from ground establishment work to the entire project completion. Key areas of my accountabilities were the following. • Design and development of critical infrastructure for a major Kabul airport project, utilizing advanced CAD software (AutoCAD and Structural Analyses software) to create precise 2D and 3D structural models and detailed engineering drawings.• Collaborated closely with multidisciplinary teams, including architects, contractors, and regulatory bodies, to ensure seamless integration of engineering solutions that met both technical requirements and operational efficiencies. • Successfully managed project deliverables under tight deadlines, contributing to the project’s on-time completion and under budget, while implementing innovative design solutions that improved long-term sustainability and usability of airport facilities.
