Because of the close relationships I have with my clients, I work even harder to deliver the best possible results in the commercial litigation, eminent domain, appellate, and commercial landlord-tenant matters I handle. I invest myself deeply and personally – for me, a client’s problem is my problem.I earned my undergraduate degree in Sociology, with honors, from the University of Michigan, where I was a James Angell Scholar. I remained in Ann Arbor for law school, earning my Juris Doctor in 2000.Since then, I have become a fierce advocate, particularly adept at identifying complicated issues, dissecting them, and forming practical strategies to achieve my clients’ desired outcomes. I have represented individuals, municipalities, and companies of various sizes across a variety of industries including publicly traded REITs, Fortune 500 corporations, and small businesses. I currently have a lead role in the expansion efforts of a Michigan based electric transmission company. To build its infrastructure and expand the service it offers its customers, I along with the team of attorneys I manage, negotiate and, if necessary, file suit to procure property, easements and other rights from adjoining landowners by means of eminent domain, with very favorable results. I have been similarly successful at both the trial and appellate levels in a number of commercial litigation cases, representing both plaintiffs and defendants in trade secret, real property, construction, and business tort matters.Throughout my entire legal career, I have called Zausmer, P.C. my home, and I consider myself fortunate to collaborate with a team of the smartest, most dedicated, and most talented attorneys I know and the clients whose trust we earn every day. An avid University of Michigan Football and basketball fan, I continue to live in Ann Arbor with my husband and two daughters.
