In my leadership role with the Information Development team, I successfully expanded our group, directing a team of 15 professionals that included managers and senior writers. I placed a strong emphasis on talent development, utilizing personalized coaching, constructive feedback, and custom-tailored learning opportunities. I also implemented comprehensive educational programs to enhance skills, which led to numerous team members earning prestigious engineering awards and recognition, including the Society of Technical Communication's Excellence Award in 2022. Our commitment to creating a positive work environment was recognized in achieving top eSat scores in Glint surveys across the Engineering department.At the same time, I focused on improving our documentation processes and website usability. I established new channels for feedback on the utility and quality of our documentation and spearheaded initiatives to enhance content efficacy. I drove the transformation of our documentation website, introducing improved navigation, search functionality, and modern aesthetics. This user-centric approach resulted in a threefold increase in returning users within the first two years. My efforts and successes earned praise from senior leadership for delivering “outsized results,” and for the superior quality of our documentation compared to competitors, acknowledging its role in distinguishing our product in the market.
