Write inspirational stories highlighting some of Los Angeles’ mostinfluential movers and shakers in the corporate, film and musicindustries. Wrote cover story features for Spring 2020 Issue, Winter 2021Issue, and the Fall 2021 Issue featuring legendarybroadcast journalist Tavis Smiley and his new talk radio station.

• Provided direct support to the organization’s leadership for its two staple programs: Fellowship Program and Elevation Awards • Provided guidance, training, and one-on-one career advice to fellows who come from all over the country to learn about being a social justice leader• Provide business coaching and technical assistance to Elevation Awardees who each receive of a $10,000 seed grant that assists in launching a community based social justice idea • Worked along side the Director of Programs and the programs team to design and/or redesign programming that was conducive to developing amazing social justice leaders via the organization’s two flagship program models

Girls as CEOs Foundation was a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting improved quality of life for girls and women of color through awareness/advocacy, mentoring, philanthropic giving, and educational opportunities. In addition to teaching girls and women of color how to soar above the distracting and discriminatory forces that attempt to get in the way of them living their dreams, we were committed to being a voice in the conversations to level the playing field and increase the number of women and girls of color in leadership roles or in roles that best reflect the diversity of our creativity, talents and passions. While Girls as CEOs Foundation was dissolved in preparation for Mischa's move to California, the goal is to relaunch the foundation in the future and continue pouring into girls of color once Mischa gets sure footing and forge the right relationships in her new home state.

As the Founder & CEO of Greatness Now, my greatest responsibility was being a living example of the greatness I taught and spoke about. For more than 32 years, I had the privilege of being a servant leader in the human service profession. Thirteen years into my career (not ever feeling like I belonged at the places I worked) I yielded to the relentless call of entrepreneurship. In time, Greatness Now became a premier, award winning global human development company impacting millions. Whether providing invaluable coaching to clients; or brokering viable relationships with organizations, agencies, and school jurisdictions to provide professional development trainings that were tailor made to fit each customer's needs; or delivering powerful keynote addresses, inspirational speeches, and workshop presentations at conferences; or writing and publishing thought provoking literary works / educational curriculum; or creating / designing uniquely inspiring products in the form of greeting cards, facilitation cards, bookmarks, t-shirts, and mugs, the mission was to support individuals with the intimate yet challenging process of actualizing and owning their greatness. Greatness Now was dissolved in preparation for Mischa's move to California.

Responsible for the development of the fiscal year budget, strategic plan and goals of MMRC while overseeing the day-to-day operations including resource and program development, communications, and personnel. Served as a member of the agency’s Leadership Team. Responsible for co-facilitating the agency’s board infused Service Delivery Committee. Served as a consistent force and inspiring voice for mentoring best practices on the local, state and national level to include MENTOR and other national mentoring coalitions. Reported directly to the President & CEO.

Provided oversight of the training and technical assistance needs of mentoring programs throughout the State of Maryland. Selected, managed and trained the training cadre who worked in collaboration with the Director of Training & Mentoring Services to service mentoring programs statewide as needed. Developed curriculum modules and materials that reflect mentoring and youth development best practices. Worked in conjunction with the Director of Maryland Mentoring Resource Center (MMRC) to establish fiscal year goals, budget and contracts that were designed to improve the quality of how mentoring is done throughout the State while producing revenue. Spearheaded activities that brought mentoring partners together.
