I am a seasoned professional with a passion for education, recovery services, and community engagement. I proudly hold a Master’s in Education, Teaching, & Curriculum Development from Penn State University, along with a Pennsylvania Secondary English Certification. I have dedicated my career to making a difference in both educational and nonprofit sectors. I also hold a Bachelor's in Communications & Journalism and a minor in Social Work from Shippensburg University, bringing a diverse perspective to my work.As a Pennsylvania Certified Recovery Specialist and trained Parent Mentor Coach, I have developed and delivered state-certified curriculums for Certified Recovery and Certified Family Recovery Specialists. My experience includes working with organizations such as the Cumberland County Community Opioid Overdose Prevention Coalition (COOP) and the Cumberland-Perry Substance Abuse Prevention Coalition, where I have contributed to key initiatives aimed at combating substance abuse. I was honored to present at Governor Wolf’s Opioid Command Center Summit, where I spoke on bridging the gap between intervention and long-term recovery through my “Warm Handoff” model.I have a deep understanding of treatment protocols, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Medically Assisted Treatments, and abstinence programs such as Alcoholics Anonymous and Narcotics Anonymous. I firmly believe in multiple pathways to recovery, rejecting a one-size-fits-all approach to treatment.I also possess an ardent perspective of modern-day communication channels from writing and designing brochures, websites, and social media campaigns to writing white papers, journal articles, and blogs. I am keenly aware of current media trends.Rooted in Central Pennsylvania, I have spent my life building meaningful connections within my community. I live in Camp Hill with my husband of over 25 years and our two sons, where I continue to embrace sobriety, guided by the Grace that saved me and the Faith that set me free.
