I have attended both West Wales School of the Arts and Kansas State University studying Sculpture and Metalwork. I have participated in the American National Conference on Cast Iron Art in 2009, Sloss, Birmingham, Al, and the 6th International Conference on Contemporary Cast Iron Art in 2010, Kidwelly Industrial Museum, Kidwelly, Wales. I have also been part of many cast iron art pours in Wales and the inaugural pour at the National Sculpture Factory in Cork, Ireland.I enjoy the process in creating artwork, which is probably why I am attracted to casting as it is a very process driven method. I find that the method of creating and the materials used tend to determine the outcome of my art than a higher concept although in saying that after the work is complete I have noticed that the work does reflect subconscious or barely conscious thoughts that I have had during the act of creation. I am currently living in London, UK, working as a chaser/ fabricator while pursuing my own sculpture.
