I’m Misha “Dream” Walker, and I’ve spent my life defying the odds. Born with Arthrogryposis Multiplex Congenita (AMC), a rare condition that limits joint movement, I was told I would never move or live independently. But I proved those predictions wrong. Today, I not only live independently but travel the world, sharing my story and raising awareness for AMC.Through The Dream Walker Project and in my position as AMCSI International Ambassador, my husband, Michael, and I are on a mission to support AMC families around the globe. Every year, we drive thousands of miles, visiting families affected by AMC, building bridges across continents, and creating a global community of support. Our annual road trips take us across dozens of cities in different parts of the world. These journeys are about so much more than the miles we cover—they’re about the connections we make, the hope we bring, and the understanding we foster. The Dream Walker Project began with a single photo but has grown into a movement of community and solidarity. Working closely with AMCSI and other support groups worldwide, we go the extra mile—literally and figuratively—to bring AMC families together. Our mission is simple: to reach as many families as possible, offering them support, resources, and hope for a brighter future.Beyond our road trips, the Dream Walker Project is active online, connecting with global specialists and families to deepen our understanding of AMC, giving people with AMC a platform to share their experiences, and helping families find strength in shared stories. Through our travels and outreach, we amplify the voices of those living with AMC, providing insights, resources, and encouragement for anyone who may feel isolated by this condition. My vision is for a world where no family affected by AMC feels alone, where awareness is widespread, and where hope thrives. Each family we visit and every story we share is a step toward building a community that’s better together, stronger as one.I invite you to join us in this mission to make AMC understood, to bring hope to families, and to build a lasting legacy of support. Together, we can make a difference, one mile and one story at a time.

Speaker/ Writer/ FounderDream Walker May 2012 - PresentMy journey as a speaker and writer for the Dream Walker Project began when I was 28 years old, driven by a desire to share my personal story of living with arthrogryposis (AMC). Born with a rare condition that limits joint movement, I faced many challenges growing up. However, I was determined to live life on my own terms, defying the odds and embracing my unique path.At 28, I took a bold step and started sharing my story online. Through blog posts and speaking engagements, I opened up about my experiences, struggles, and victories, hoping to connect with others who might feel isolated in their journey with AMC. Little did I know, this would become the foundation of the Dream Walker Project—a global initiative dedicated to raising awareness, offering support, and building a community for individuals and families affected by AMC.Through my blog, I aim to create a space where those with AMC can see themselves reflected, feel understood, and find hope. Writing in a personal and reflective style, I cover topics that range from daily life with AMC to broader themes of resilience, self-acceptance, and empowerment. My posts have resonated with readers from all over the world, and this connection inspired me to expand the Dream Walker Project into an outreach effort that now includes in-person visits, community events, and partnerships with AMC organizations worldwide.Today, my work as a speaker and writer is at the heart of the Dream Walker Project. By sharing my story and advocating for others with AMC, I hope to inspire a sense of community, empower others to share their stories, and build a world where no one with AMC feels alone.
