We launched Propolis, a real estate development and property management firm, because I believed the Miami of the future would not be like the past. Young professionals want to live, play and work in the urban center, but nearly every apartment being built was luxury. The average twenty-something can't afford that, so we focus on infill ground-up development of affordable and efficient apartment buildings. As we scale, these low-rise buildings form clusters and become micro-communities, improving the fabric of neighborhood, while maintaining their original character. This "missing middle housing" is what will make Miami a livable, walkable and attainable city for current and future generations.
