Strategic Development Manager
Current- Develop and operationalize structural improvements, along with the National Director, including annual strategic planning meetings with the Steering Committee and rights-based human resources processes specific to the NRHN. The goal of this work being to move the organizational strategic vision into actionable plans, ensuring alignment with broader vision, objectives, and accountability. - Leading fundraising efforts alongside the National Director including proposal writing as well as relationship building. - Logistical oversight of NRHN spaces including public meetings, consultations, and engagements with grassroots advocates for the implementation of the right to housing. This especially includes efforts to create spaces for knowledge exchanges (especially with grassroots advocates, first voice advocates, and rights-claimants), with attention to creation of accessible, safe, and respectful spaces.- Acted as Project Manager for the Solutions Lab project in partnership with the Women’s National Housing and Homelessness Network (WNHHN) and the Canadian Centre for Housing Rights (CCHR) – that explores how a rights-based, GBA+ framework can be used to transform emergency shelter delivery for women and gender-diverse persons across Canada. This includes managing the project team’s initiative to develop and prototype “Rights-Based, GBA+ National Shelter Standards” to guide the transformation of emergency shelter service delivery across Canada. This also includes convening human rights advocates and rights holders – especially on the Advisory Group of the project.
