What I enjoy most about my practice is helping people every day. I know the legal documents Speedwell prepares allows our clients to serve their loved ones. Estate planning is an act of care and compassion towards the ones you love and simply allows your family to live better. It inspires me that my work supports our clients to do just that. Often, our Estate clients are also business owners. To that end, I believe in the Japanese philosophy of kaizen, which is the practice of constant improvement. I practice kaizen in my personal life as well. It has helped me become more accomplished as a golfer and fly-fisherman, my two individual passions. My clients tell me they like working with me because I am articulate, diligent, well-rounded, and emotionally sensitive. What I like to think really distinguishes me from other attorneys, however, is that I have a big heart. I give back to my community as Treasurer of the Alexandria Bar Foundation and chair of the Beat the Odds committee; by being an educated citizen and mindful neighbor, and by focusing on conserving our country’s incredible natural resources through volunteer activities with several conservation organizations.
