About Anant Mishra

Anant Mishra is an Professor in the Supply Chain and Operations Department at the Carlson School of Management, University of Minnesota. Anant's current research interests derive from contemporary issues in the areas of global supply chain management, innovation, public-sector operations, and emerging markets. His research has been published in leading academic journals such as Management Science, Manufacturing & Service Operations Management, Production & Operations Management, Journal of Operations Management, and IEEE Transactions in Engineering Management. In addition, Anant currently serves as a Department Editor at two leading academic journals in supply chain and operations, the Journal of Operations Management and the Decision Sciences Journal.Anant has designed and taught Executive MBA, MBA and Undergraduate level courses in Business Statistics, Strategic Sourcing, Project Management, and Operations Management. His recognitions include the Carlson School of Management Outstanding Research Award (2021), Masters in Supply Chain Professor of the Year Award (2021, 2020, and 2019), the Dean's Scholar Award for Extraordinary Contributions as a Tenured Faculty, the Wickham Skinner Award for Best Published Paper in the Production & Operations Management Journal, Outstanding MBA Faculty Award, POMS Applied Research Competition Finalist, INFORMS Technology Management Section Best Doctoral Dissertation Award, and Honorable Mention in the Elwood Buffa Doctoral Dissertation Competition. Prior to pursuing a Ph.D., Anant acquired valuable experience in software development working for Tata Consultancy Services – a leading multinational technology consulting firm.
