My name is Misimi Sanni, and I am pursuing a Bachelor's of Engineering at Princeton University. At Princeton University, I am involved in a variety of activities ranging from student government to engineering clubs, including Princeton Autonomous Vehicle Electric, Princeton Debate Panel, Princeton Biotechnology Group, National Society of Black Engineers, Student Life Committee, Social Committee and more. Additionally, I was elected by the 1500 members of our class to represent them as 1 of 5 officers in the Class of 2028 Council. In my most recent full-time role, I was a research assistant at The Hospital for Sick Children. Here I assisted Dr. Sung's Lab on various projects related to SSPedi, a symptom screening tool for pediatric patients. I interacted with patients, assisted with data management, and generated data reports while also supporting Dr. Sung's involvement in the American Society of Hematology (ASH). I am listed as a collaborating author on the publication.One of my passions is public speaking. This passion drove me to organize a TEDx conference in my senior year of high school, begin my high school's first ever public speaking organization, and start SPARK Public Speaking Program where I educated young students on the benefits of public speaking and raised $2300 for charity.I look forward to learning more about engineering and demonstrating these skills (and more) in my next role.
