Technical maintenance administrator for OR and ICU patient information systems for Pirha, PPSHP and PohdeLast year I had an opportunity to enhance my knowledge when I was offered a possibility to be promoted to senior designer and have more hospitals and information systems in my portfolio. I currently work as a technical support for three welfare districts ICU, NICU, OR and anesthesia information systems. Current work includes upkeep of integration motors such as Rhapsody and Mirth. SQL task troubleshooting and script executing. I also do security upgrades for servers and basic server service upkeep and troubleshooting of various issues that customers present. I have also kept my original work as a CHAA- administrator, but I am currently inducting more colleagues to it.

Centricity High Aquity Anestesia patient information system designer and administrator.In Istekki oy I continued my administration career with now upgraded Centricity High Aquity Anesthesia. I also learnt more about Centricity Opera. My responsibilities started to shift slowly on more technical side as CHAA configuration became more stable and didn’t require so much configuration work anymore. I learnt to code some java script rules and work with statistics with warehouse as it become available.I have also superviced several CHAA introductions in Pirkanmaa hospital district in various hospitals and units. When introducing a new unit it is vital that technical environment is in order and everything is documented correctly. After initial use of program has begun I have been a close user support for a week or two depending on volume of users.Istekki has been a good employer to teach working in IT-environments with ITIL-workflow. Hospitals are basically non-mistake environments where working with information is delicate work that has to follow certain procedures to avoid errors.

Anesthesia information system (Centricity Anesthesia v3.2) main designer, configurator and main user for system implementation in Pirkanmaa hospital district.I had begun my career in IT when I got selected as an administrator for Centricity Anesthesia. I worked as a software designer and started to map processes and found out treatment paths in order to make the most effective tool for anesthesia for our hospital. Building a patient information system from a scratch is not a minor task. It involved a lot of thought, testing, listening to opinions, more testing, and a lot of coffee. Finally, our team was ready to launch it.Following year, I learnt basics of IT in apprenticeship degree studies and in practice. I learnt to configurate Centricity Anesthesia, because system was like a living being- always changing and in motion on its way to become a working program. I dealt daily with various problems in my support role. Monitoring problems, connection failures, user issues, computer problems and network issues. My work got noticed and soon hospital started to consider outsourcing patient information systems administration. I got selected as an example and I got hired to Istekki oy to evaluate how Istekki and I can manage outsourced administrative tasks. I did well, because about a year later- all administration workers were transferred to Istekki oy.

Nurse anesthesist- Traumateam nurse group leader- Resuscitation responsible nurse for OR- Simulation instructorAs I was working as anesthesia nurse, I tended to be the one who always pushed myself to the hardest places. That must have been because my background in emergency medicine. That led me to situation where I quickly became an experienced nurse anesthesist. That on the other hand gave me an opportunity to work in development teams where I become senior member and a team leader. On those days I also noticed how electrical patient information systems came for daily usage and I found them usefully and effective tools that were helpful. I learned to use Centricity Opera, Centricity Clinical Care (I went to work in ICU for a six months to learn more about how to treat critical patients) and Uranus. And when hospital announced a project for AIS to begun I decided to apply in it for administrator.

Emergency Department

Emergency department nurse.I was working as a registered nurse in Finlands (at that time) busiest emergency department. That time tought me valuable skills for facing customers in distress and vulnerable. Professionally I learnt to observe and detect patients with real life threathening conditions and to work as a member of a team.
