Key responsibilities on polling day included:- Briefing staff on their duties, providing direction and support.- Monitoring staff at regular intervals to ensure correct procedures are followed.- Ensuring staff responded to queries from electors accurately and in a friendly and courteous manner.- Assisting electors to complete enrolment forms.- Accounting for all ballot papers allocated to the polling booth and ensuring their security.- Managing the ballot paper counts, including House of Assembly, Legislative Council and the House of Assembly two candidate preferred count.- Completing required forms and assessments.- Supervising the packaging of election material and delivering this safely and securely to the Returning Officer.
