Took a career break to travel and surf in Sri Lanka and Indonesia.

Joined the early-stage team and helped to scale Appear Here from a start-up to the global leader in retail space. Key projects:- Launched Appear Here’s Private Client service, advising global brands such as Gucci, Netflix and Goop on creative retail strategies.- Defined and scaled Appear Here’s Projects capabilities, working with major space-owners such as TfL, Value Retail and Topshop to create innovative destinations. - Launched ‘Additions’, full-service support for store launches that brings together a global network of best-in-class partners. - Company spokesperson for major industry events and key client presentations. - Designed and launched Space For Ideas, an annual competition to find the next big ideas in retail, which ran in partnership with the Evening Standard, EE and Apple, and was judged by industry leaders including Natalie Massenet and Dylan Jones.

Founded a not-for-profit organisation (initially within StartUp Britain) that gave new entrepreneurs affordable access to high-profile retail spaces. The campaign launched 13 stores across the UK and hosted over 450 independent brands.

Worked closely with a small team of entrepreneurs and senior government advisors to run a national campaign that saw record numbers of start-ups launching in the UK, hitting half a million in 2013. Key projects:- Launched an innovation workshop and accelerator scheme that introduced early-stage start-ups to major retailers such as John Lewis and Sainsbury’s.- Worked with corporate partners including PayPal, Barclays and Microsoft to design and build support packages for SMEs.- Organised an annual national roadshow that connected 1000s of entrepreneurs to a network of business advisors.
