Responsible for the management of global Production Planning and Scheduling for GMP operations across all Pharma Services sites. This role included working closely with internal departments to maximise efficiency of equipment and resources whilst meeting customer requirements. Also responsible for the management and development of the ERP system for the Pharma Services business. This included management of planned upgrades to the system as well as continuous improvement to the ERP solution and associated reporting capability, in response to user requirements.

During this time I was responsible for the management of a number of smaller projects (LIMS implementation, large scale manufacturing equipment installation and validation) as well as being the sole Business Project Manager for the development of a new site (the first in the US for Pharma Services, this project spanned 2 years of my time in the role). In this project I was responsible for all project management aspects of the refurbishment and establishment of a new North American facility for the Pharma Services division. This project spanned from acquisition of the facility through refurbishment, fit-out, equipment sourcing and validation and overall facility qualification and start-up. I was responsible for all project management aspects- budget control, role definition, assignment of responsibilities, task assignment and management, change management, relationship management and risk management. I managed collaboration between global teams (situated in the UK and US). The project had an extensive budget and tight timelines, both of which were achieved.

I was seconded to the role of Project Lead for the implementation of an ERP system for the business. In this role I worked very closely with business stakeholders to support project implementation, spanning design, configuration, informal testing, validation and co-ordination of cut-over tasks (data migration, process definition, generation of procedures). My role extended beyond go-live to provide system support before I embarked on a year of travel.
