Rio is a skilled and versatile video producer and editor, proficient in various technical tools and software, such as Adobe Creative Cloud, DaVinci Resolve, RED and Canon Cinema Cameras. She has successfully managed and executed various video production projects independently and collaboratively, recruiting, directing, and networking with crews and industry leaders. Rio's goal is to create innovative and impactful video content that showcases the culture, history, and achievements of indigenous peoples.With over a decade of video production experience, Rio has held a senior production editor position at Chickasaw Nation, and is currently working for the Cherokee Film Studios as a video editor. Rio is the video editor for the Collaborate Content team within Cherokee Film. This team produces the monthly talk show, Cherokee: Wherever We Are, which is program that reaches thousand of Cherokee At-Large citizens as well as the general public. She is in charge of the post-production product with video editing and audio production on the show, as well as all the other projects within the Collaborate Content team. At the Chickasaw Nation, Rio has overseen the editing process of major, high-level video projects within the multimedia department and Heritage Series department. She worked closely with creative producers and graphic artists to shape a produced piece to the taste and aesthetic of the Chickasaw Nation, ensuring quality and consistency with the established vision and budget. Rio was also accountable for all editing needs on Chickasaw Heritage Series video projects and feature films, demonstrating their expertise and passion for storytelling and content development.
