All responsibilities of Process Engineer Intern inclusive Nanofabrication (roll to plate nanoimprint lithography (NIL)) and nanocharacterization in a Class 100 cleanroom.Production of manufacturing quality flexes, imprints, etc. Quality control of master and defect analysis. Continuous optimization of flex quality through DOEs, etc. Organized /streamlined production flow, mentored, and wrote standard operating procedures (SOP) for processes and tools. Physical vapor deposition (PVD) of Ag to substrates. Data analysis and visualization in JMP for statistical analysis. Coordinated with external vendors to donate 200+ wafer clamshells, griprings, and cassettes for reuse.

Imaged nano- and micro-structures using metrology tools: scanning electron microscope (SEM), atomic force microscope (AFM), profilometer, confocal microscope (Sensofar), optical microscope. Learned about nanotechnology, nanofabrication, and nanocharacterization techniques. Created a SOP for cutting free form shapes with a UV laser dicer.

Worked with a NASA research scientist at Ames in Moffett field, CA. Prepared, measured, and analyzed samples via UV-Vis spectroscopy.Created figures in OriginPro and ChemDraw for presentations, abstracts, grants, etc. Analyzed data from samples run via gas chromatography-mass spectrometry.

Analyzed and quantified organic and inorganic anions in meteorite samples via Ion Chromatography. Prepared and ran standards, then plotted the resulting data for quantifications which were presented at a poster session. Trained a new intern to take over lab work.
