About Missy Lloyd, Ma, Lcmhc, Ncc

I am a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor in North Carolina and a National Certified Counselor. After finishing my time as a North Carolina Teaching Fellow and teaching high school for 5 years at a public and charter school, I received my master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Wake Forest University. WFU’s Counseling Program has been developed under The Council for Accreditation of Counseling and Related Educational Programs (CACREP) guidelines and standards. I have a special interest in play therapy, working with families, expressive arts interventions, Mindfulness based approaches, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy.I also hold the role as the Counseling Supervisor to the counseling department at Child and Family Development.
