Deltatre produces and supports streaming applications and supporting systems for companies around the world. As part of this I have delivered and maintained projects for the Danish national broadcaster (DRTV) and latterly the Dyn Sport service.The deliverables included consumer apps for built in React, Swift for IOS and tvOS, Kotlin for Android devices and web technologies for desktop and TV. The majority of Backend services were built in .NET and hosted on AWS. Also supported third-party development companies who built applications driven by our APIs. I had 5 direct reports in my teams; Engineering Managers responsible for dedicated verticals though when needed I built and led cross-tech teams for specific challenges, projects or special features that required their own work-streams. It was my responsibility to ensure the application/platform was stable and scalable so I had to co-operate with Infrastructure and SRE teams to monitor, learn and improve the performance, this gave me the opportunity to deepen my knowledge of the domain and informed other architectural decisions.

The new site for the UK wing of Carlson Marketing as a test bed for the Drupal CMS system.The brief was to investigate and advise on the various Content Management Systems available to us.Open source was the most obvious choice as budgetary constraints were very much an issue. With little access to formal training I spent several weeks learning the system and then prototyping the new site. Aside from the challenges involved in learning any new system, the project highlightedhow the issues that come with multiple stakeholders and a tight budget and looming deadline.

overhaul of the Active Kids section - collaborating very closely with the in house team of HTML and .Net developers I worked on the very successful Active Kids part of the Sainsbury's site.HTML Email Template building: My role also included the building of complex html emails with the view to handing the files over to the production team and being on hand to troubleshoot and generally advise on best practice and cross platform / browser rendering of media rich emails.

Worked on large sites including Sainsburys, Sky and even a spot of Ferrari related work.

During my time at DLKW I worked closely with the Design Team on the HTML templates for the new revamped TENA website [ www.tena.co.uk ]. The client was building the system using EpiServer, a .Net based Content Management System. For most of the project I was the only developer, communicating with Swedish based client over email and phone as how to best create the HTML elements. The process was very much collaborative and a great example of the importance of the Design and Development departments working closely together.

Initially a dual role, designing and building pages for the site itself and for clients, this role developed into more of a purely development based asmy interest in the Front End Development grew.Part of my role including helping other members of team to learn table-less markup and develop their CSS skills. I took on the role of champion of W3C standard valid code but more importantly realised the importance of accessible HTML for users as well as it's use in effective SEO.
