As a Professional Officer in the Public Participation Unit, my primary function involved bridging the communication gap between the City and the community on various City initiatives and community challenges, in an effort to align the objectives of the City with the needs of the community. As the Community Driver, my responsibilities encompass managing Biswap's social media presence within the International Telegram chat or the Squid NFT World chat. My role revolves around constructing and nurturing a community of followers, elevating engagement levels, and addressing support inquiries.I focus on several key performance areas:1. As an Assistant Professional Officer at the City of Cape Town, my primary functioninvolved advising Sub-councils and Line departments on best practices andlegislation for public participation. This also meant the effective and efficientimplementation of public participation processes on a host of City initiatives.One of the most active area of responsibility during my employment as an AssistantProfessional Officer involved the planning and implementation of street renamingprocesses. My most notable renaming process was the naming of the 7 Footbridges,which are situated on the Helen Suzman Drive, and gained high media attention andlarge community interest.Key Performance Area:1. Advised line departments on public participation processes and procedures, andundertook and facilitated public participation processes on service deliverymatters, development and budgetary matters, by-laws, policies, strategies andnaming processes.2. Plan, organised and coordinated the successful implementation of communityand sector engagements across the City.7. Tracked and updated the Speaker's by-law and policy schedule, and reportedfindings to the Office of the Speaker, the Executive Mayor and EMT.

As an events manager I was responsible for the planning, coordinating and implementation of dance events. In 20.. to 20.. I was offered an unique opportunity to host the qualifier event for South Africans Break Dancers to participate in the International Breakin' the Law dance competition. I also managed the other dance events such as Mix n' Match and free dance lessons across disadvantaged communities situated in Cape Town.
