I currently lead eMed's partner and integration engineering teams. We launched a digital point-of-care platform that revolutionized the at-home testing market with the first-of-its-kind rapid self-testing solution. We helped over 7M customers get diagnosed and treated without needing to leave their homes. Previously I led eMed Screen, a 24/7 drug screening solution that eliminates downtime and makes screening easier for hiring managers and HR professionals.Before that, I was the COO of Hoyos Integrity, which later became Sotera Digital, a small start-up that created a secure smartphone for the US government running a unique operating system with zero vulnerabilities. I enjoyed running operations. Getting all the corporate teams to come together and stay aligned toward our common goal of success is extremely rewarding.Before that, I was a VP of Sales at a standout tech startup that was acquired by Hoyos Integrity. I loved many aspects of the start-up: agility, complete control, and freedom from corporate bureaucracy to name a few. The downsides included no brand awareness, lean budgets, and zero room for error. However, we launched three disruptive product lines, sold half a million devices, and achieved $50M in revenue prior to our acquisition.Before that, I was a VP and General Manager of a $1B wireless phone business at Motorola, leading an account management team serving global Fortune 100 accounts, including T-Mobile and SK Telecom. I'm especially proud of my 5-year tenure running that business where I grew our revenue 20% every year while maintaining 25%+ margins. Not easy in the smartphone business unless you have a fruit in your name.I started my career as a 2nd Lieutenant in the US Army, reaching the rank of Captain when I exited the military for a career in corporate America. It was an amazing four years- I learned a lot about leadership and building trust, deploying new technology under pressure, and got to jump out of a few planes along the way.I particularly love bringing exciting new technology and solutions to market, winning over clients and investors, engaging with global groups of diverse people, putting metrics around all aspects of the business to follow the data, and celebrating the wins as a team.When I'm not working, I'm probably at the beach with my wife and kids, running in the park with my dog, or embarrassing myself trying to speak decent Spanish with my South Florida neighbors.
