Delta Dental is the largest dental plan system in the United States, serving more than 80 million Americans. The Delta Dental Plans Association is composed of 39 independent Delta Dental member companies operating in all 50 states, the District of Columbia and Puerto Rico. My role as a Systems Engineer II in the Workspace Engineering group involves Citrix architecture and imaging, streamlining operational processes via PowerShell and automation, developing technical documentation, orchestrating new system builds, performance management, troubleshooting infrastructure, participation in change management events, and operational excellence.

Team Rubicon is a 501(c) a nationwide nonprofit that provides military veterans with the opportunity to continue their service by responding to natural disasters and global crises. In my leadership role, I manage a team of five volunteers responsible for membership, logistics, planning, field operations, and communication. Responsible for identifying service projects and socials to build skill sets and camaraderie with fellow volunteers. In my volunteer role, I respond to service projects, training events, and deploy to disaster areas in order to provide relief and services to affected victims and communities. • Identify and remediate issues with server and enterprise security mechanisms.• Lead Windows system image development and testing efforts; create and test new golden master images for standardizing deployments across the enterprise.• Manage and lead enterprise system upgrades, migrations, and decommissioning efforts including VMware, Windows Server, physical and virtual hardware, servers, and appliances.• Train and mentor staff in server and virtualization related disciplines, including best practices and operational procedures.• Process help desk tickets filed with the Server team to support the organization’s goals and provide exceptional customer service to our customers.

• Act as the subject matter expert (SME) as part of an architecture review committee for the department; review application proposals and requests for all new additions, modifications, and decommission requests for enterprise infrastructure.• Lead virtualization team with an emphasis on Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) as the subject-matter expert and support over 300 customers, including staff from all 35 California state prisons.• Lead and assist team members with system deployments, migrations, upgrades, troubleshooting, and decommission efforts.• Develop decommissioning plans and checklists later to be adopted as standard procedure by the department.• Implemented an inmate welfare checking system (Guard1) in all 35 state prisons.• Centralize the SAPMS application (inmate commissary) within the data center in order to decommission physical servers at 35 state prisons. Develop a VDI instance in order to consolidate end users at the data center to reduce WAN traffic, realize cost savings, and enhance the overall user experience for our customers.• Process help desk tickets to deliver exceptional customer service and provide solutions to users across the department.

• Provide all levels of IT support for technologies including desktop, server, and VoIP; provide application support and administration for Google Apps, Hosted Exchange, Box.com, Do.com, Clarizen, Salesforce.com, Kaspersky, and proprietary in-house applications.• Support virtual and physical server environments on premise and at the data center.• Develop system images, provision and deploy laptops and mobile phones for newly hired employees. • Enrolled devices with AirWatch and Apple Volume Purchase Program for business to deploy applications and manage Apple assets.• Assist management with new hire and termination processes.
