I continue to champion for persons with disabilities who want assistance with navigating the complex disability benefit systems as they build and sustain employment or self employment. My purpose as a Community Work Incentives Coordinator (CWIC) is to provide assistance to individuals with disabilities who are receiving benefits from the Social Security Administration (SSA) as it relates to work. Through this assistance my goal is to provide beneficiaries with a greater understanding of the work incentives that are available to them.At the same time be a connector for individuals with their local Employment Networks (ENs), SSA Work Incentives Coordinators as well as Federal, State, local and private agencies and nonprofits that can assist them as they seek employment. As well as provide to beneficiaries information about how to access services from protection and advocacy agencies when needed.
