The AVC Group is result of the merging of multiple Nortek companies including; Niles, Elan, gunfire, Xantech and Aton.Responsible for of managing a team of product managers, project mManagers across the globe for all product development and sustaining engineering projects of a $150M consumer electronics group of companies. Manage all development resources, dollars and schedules to bring multiple projects to market on time, on budget and on schedule. Direct and manage all ODM products and vendor relationships. Design and develop all of the companies audio and speaker products including, passive and active architectural speakers, cabinet speakers, active and passive soundbars, subwoofers and multi channel amplifiers.

Returned as a one-person business unit with oversight of every aspect of Niles $35M loudspeaker business. Responsibilities include market research, concept, design, development, program management, financials, vendor selection and negotiations, packaging collateral material, manufacturing, product launch and life cycle. In this role I represent one third of the company’s revenue and less than one tenth of its resources. Designed, Developed, sourced and launched 33 new products representing over $30M in revenue in less than 8 months.

Recruited to launch the companies first consumer electronics category with products in multiple categories. Led the full product development effort. Oversaw cross-functional product development process with overseas vendors and resources.

Manage all product and program development in the home and custom categories. Extensive overseas experience qualifying, developing and managing vendors, manufacturing and QC processes.

Directed the product development and marketing efforts focused on the custom install market. Maintained complete responsibility for all product development, marketing, advertising, web, public relations, strategic product planning industrial design and packaging. Managed cross functional groups of engineers, designers, consultants, buyers and vendors to develop and bring new products to market.

Directed all marketing, advertising, product management and public relations for multiple brands and divisions including: Samsung Camera, Samsung Special Markets, Samsung CCTV, Video Presenters, Rollei Fototechic and Burette Sports Watches.

Directed all marketing, advertising, public relations, training and customer service efforts. Developed product and business plans for new product categories and brands including video projection. Defined and analyzed the market trends for all product categories. Established a Customer Service Department and a new Technical Service Department to handle all consumer and dealer inquiries.
