As Associate Dean, I like to think of my role as focused on student success and preparing students, not just for excellent careers, but for a full and healthy life. I value and am engaged in work around diversity, equity, and inclusion, and I believe in supporting the wellness and well-being of our students, faculty and staff of our surrounding community.As a researcher in the area of aging and multi-generational workforce issues, I believe that we are more similar than we are different and that this "millennial" trend is really about age, not generation, and is primarily driven by technology. As a consultant and speaker, I enjoy helping companies with leadership challenges and development, accommodating a diverse (esp. generationally) workforce, organizational culture, and strategic staffing planning. My Ph.D. is in I/O Psychology and I have consulted for and with a number of companies including Michigan Works, the State of Michigan Dept. of State Police, the Michigan Dept. of Corrections, Dow Corning Corp., Hurley Medical Center, Central Michigan Community Hospital, ThinkWise, Inc., Denison Consulting, and Personnel Decisions, Inc.
