In my current role as Procurement Manager of Direct Pricing, I am responsible for empowering a team of 4 team members driving pricing formulation (direct materials), price file management, buying, purchase order creation, and invoice resolution. My role requires leading and developing a diverse team of professionals and creating and developing new processes and procedures as my department continues to evolve. To do this role effectively it requires strong relationship building skills with internal and external customers across all pillars within procurement, plant operations and accounts payable. In this role it is critical to effectively understand data drivers such as market trends to insure management of price creep and program compliance. Keys to success in my role include the ability to empower, grow, and develop team members to advance personally and professionally, attention to detail, and a customer service mindset.With over 20 years of experience, I have been intentional about developing my skills by seeking roles across Accounts payable, financial accounting, and now procurement. These diverse experiences have allowed me to gain a broad knowledge of the business while continuing to grow and consistently demonstrate my agility to learn, adapt, lead and deliver results.The majority of my career has been with Tyson Foods, Inc. where I began working part time in 1991 in Accounts Payable where I was able to gain experience in every aspect of that department. Throughout my career I have continued to grow and develop by expanding my knowledge by working cross functionally and gaining exposure to different leadership styles and challenges which has shaped me as a leader and business driver.
