I've been teaching culinary science at Conrad Weiser High School for nearly 16 years, and it's been an incredibly rewarding journey. My passion for teaching stems from my love for cooking, something I've cherished for as long as I can remember. I believe that the kitchen is a place where creativity and culture come alive, and I love sharing that with my students.What drives me is the joy of seeing my students discover their own talents and develop a deeper appreciation for food. I strive to create a classroom environment that is welcoming and inspiring, where students feel encouraged to experiment, learn, and grow. Watching them succeed, whether it's mastering a new recipe or gaining confidence in their skills, is truly the best part of my job. I feel incredibly fortunate to be able to share my passion for culinary arts with the next generation. My classes, including Culinary Science 1, Culinary Science 2, and Community Food Service, focus on imparting fundamental cooking skills and crucial food safety techniques that students can carry with them for life.Outside the classroom, I bring over 14 years of experience as the Junior Class advisor responsible for planning our high school prom. I have done this for various amounts of people, at different venues both inside and out. Additionally, I play an active role in the Homecoming planning committee, as well as contribute to the Sunshine Committee and Renaissance. When I'm not wrapped up in teaching and school commitments, I love spending time with my husband Robert and our daughter Lorelai.
