In my twenty years of professional experience, I have worked in a variety of health and wellness arenas including hospitals, clinics, and community and university health programs, and with a variety of people groups, including cancer patients, dialysis patients, university students, children and minority populations. These experiences have given me a broad understanding of the challenges of healthcare, food safety and disease prevention and have helped me develop the skills necessary to address these important issues.As a health educator, I believe it is my responsibility to encourage people to become active participants in their own health and wellness. My goals are to help people assess their personal health risks and to provide the knowledge and tools needed to address and minimize those risks. In every facet of my career I have inspired people to invest in their own health by participating in education programs, following prescribed care plans, and taking advantage of the health-related resources that are available to them.
