Mitch Canton is Director, Digital Marketing for Live! Local Media, publishers of the hyper-local digital publication ClarkCountyLive.com. In this capacity, Canton focuses on strategic partnerships with local businesses and the creation and distribution of local digital content for organizations to help spread the word about all the good things happening in our community.A Vancouver native, Mitch is part of a six (!) generation Clark County family, his ancestors settling in north Clark County in the 60's... the 1860's. With this background, naturally Mitch is a strong ‘local’ proponent, and he and his team have developed an intense focus on using digital media to assist local businesses and organizations not just survive, but thrive in the new economy.A serial-entrepreneur, Canton has a diversified background over the past three decades, with experiences in industries ranging from cable television to magazine publishing, satellite communications to real estate, and even includes a stint as a technical-strategies stock market trader, managing a local investment partnership. As part of a commitment to serve, Mitch is also a Board Director of the Hazel Dell/Salmon Creek Business Association, a Member of the Stewardship Commission and the Communications Committee at St. Joseph Catholic Church, and a Board Member at the North Salmon Creek Neighborhood Association. Previously he has served as an Executive Officer for the Salmon Creek PTA, a Board Member of the East Vancouver Business Association, and a Board Member for the Salmon Creek Little League.Mitch and his wife Melanie have three kids and live in the Salmon Creek area.
