Mitchell Dowd is a corporate finance and accounting major at San Jose State University, who specializes in Excel and other sales based operations. Finance and accounting principles help him with the general understanding of money and how a business’ cash flow operates, which in return will help increase his fintech knowledge and communication. After college, he wants to enter his the finance/tech world and be able to bring great assistance to a fintech company. Mitchell also dedicates his time to learning more about the business world through YouTube and other online courses. Through the retail and restaurant industry, he carried out his skills by completing day end sales counts, hours of face to face sales pitches to numerous customers, and improved upon his communications skills to increase sales to its peak. In the classroom, he extensively studies the fundamentals of the business world, as well as participating in personal workshops, to expand his knowledge and integrity throughout his employment. These examples give Mitchell an upper hand when it comes to competing against fellow students looking for a job out of college. Mitchell wants to be able to continually grow his knowledge to help bring a future company to its highest levels.
