Teaching 16-19 GCSE resits and adult learners from Entry Level to Level 2

Remote-based online learning tutor on MyTutor. Tutoring TEFL, TOEFL, the German Abitur, GCSE, A-level, IB and University students in English Literature, English Language and History.

Working closely with students in the A-Levels department. Supporting them to achieve their very best in Further Education and help them progress to Higher Education or employment.

Lecturer in English at the University of Derby teaching across the Functional Skills and GCSE provision at Buxton and Leek College and the University of Derby, including adult learners.

As part of my PGCE training I worked two days a week at AUP teaching GCSE English, IB literature and Functional Skills English.

Tasked with setting up the English Department’s Instagram account and running it thereafter to advertise the course and department to prospective students and provide a hub for current students to interact through photos and other interactive content.

Working as an administrative assistant at this literary charity. My role was a varied one including working with social media, contacting schools about competitions and other day-to-day admin tasks.

Working as de facto deputy to the General Editor as part of a team of students sourcing submissions, editing and publishing the University of Plymouth’s annual creative writing magazine, INK, with the theme being ‘Changing Climates’.
