The case study was based on correlation between rising interest rates and market volatility.

My main daily responsibilities at this job was to review clients portfolios and issue reports to the adviser on recommendations to buy or sell security when considering factors such as the capital market environment, Macro economic trends, risk tolerance on client, age and financial goals of client. I would also conduct research and issue reports on specific securities that were not in the client portfolio at the request of the advisory or the client. While at the internship I was tasked with a project of designing a ESG allocation model for automatic re-balancing. The adviser wished to have several models with different risk tolerances for his ESG investing clients. I selected the securities and build the allocation. Along with the technical experiences the adviser gave me the opportunity to sit in on most of the client meetings. Through this I was able to gain insight into the client adviser relationship.

During this internship I worked independently in excel. I was given the financial reports on a yearly and monthly basis for the past 10 years for the city of Athens. With this information I forcasted out income taxes to be collected for the next 3 years and conducted budget analyst on the city's accounts. Through this I was able to show trends in revenue collection and expenditures from different city services. In addition to quantifying trends in the budget I was able to show cyclicalities within certain city accounts. At three points in my internship I presented updates on my research to the city auditor, city major and city financial chair. My work gave greater understanding of the city’s budget and areas of concern to city official. This led to greater collaboration in regard to the budget between the major, auditor and certain city departments.

This was a marketing research project. I was placed on a team with two American undergraduate students and two German graduate students. For the Project we created a research report on a niche market segment that was selected by Adidas. Along with the written report we also composed an app prototype that catered to the niche market. This was a two-week long project with three weeks of classes at the Bayreuth university. At the conclusion of our project we presented highlights of the report to Adidas staff and showcased the app prototype.
