I worked as part of an outstanding team to deliver innovative, integrated communications services: think copywriting & content marketing, PR & social media campaigns, digital marketing, messaging and more. No two days in this role were the same, but my main responsibilities involved acting as a media-facing point of contact and client liaison, providing communications consultancy and crafting channel-specific content including blog posts, social content, press releases and industry thought leadership. I also got to interview Rio Ferdinand and Professor Brian Cox live on Periscope.

I developed my foundational communications skills working for environmental PR agency Crystalfish Communications. I worked with renewable energy clients and Cardiff Council to generate positive media coverage and interactions by conveying their project benefits to key stakeholders. This involved organising events, creating engaging content including exhibition materials, press releases and blogs, and management of social media accounts.

Responsible for every aspect of running shifts in a premium destination pub on the South West coast of England. The site is a managed house with a multi-million pound turnover, owned by Greene King Plc. I gained significant managerial experience at the Anchor including ordering and auditing liquor stock, cellar management, opening and closing the site before and after shifts, handling cash and tills, and ensuring that POS systems and front of house displays adhered to marketing and brand standards. My performance in terms of sales was the strongest in the team every year. As a Duty Manager, I also played a key role in training other members of staff to reach the same high standards.
