As a Financial Analyst at General Motors Oshawa Assembly Plant, my focus was on operation finance and the management of reporting on Plant activities. On a daily basis, I developed reports to demonstrate plant manpower and costs associated. Furthermore, I developed a report to exemplify vehicle build counts and how it translates to operation costs such as dollars per vehicle and target adherence on a daily, monthly and quarterly basis.

As a group production leader, I lead a team of individuals between the body shop and trim shop at General Motors Oshawa Assembly Plant. I currently oversee a group of 29 individuals who build and manufacture the Chevrolet Impala, Buick Regal, and Cadillac XTS.My day-to-day responsibilities include the appropriation of manpower, payroll of employees and implementation of best practices for efficient and effective build methods in order to attain daily production goals. On a macro-scale, I am responsible for developing monthly goals in the areas of safety, people, quality, responsiveness, cost and environment. I work with my team members to ensure they have the correct tools and training to attain these goals in order to continuously improve the operation of the business. The most notable part of my day is problem solving. In a manufacturing business, different things occur everyday that change the plan to reach the desired outcome. It is my responsibility to make quick, and sound decisions to ensure that we reach our targets without sacrificing any measurements of success. Documenting these decisions is crucial for the benefit of the business so that when similar problems arise in the future, we know which course of action to take to reduce our downtime.
