As an Aviation Mission Survivability Officer, I serve as the primary technical and tactical expert for the company Aviation Mission Survivability program. Coaching, training, and mentoring aircrew members on aviation mission survivability while maintaining a high level of aircraft and tactical proficiency as a PC. Conduct academic classes to audiences of 20 or more people at a time in subjects relating to aircraft tactics and mission survivability.

As a pilot in command (PC) in the H-60 Blackhawk, I perform administrative duties prior to flight such as obtaining and interpreting weather briefs, NOTAMS, completing risk management paperwork, and aircraft performance planning. I am responsible for the safety of all occupants, and the conduct of all operational and training aspects of a specific mission. As a mission briefing officer, I discuss training and mission plans with pilots to deliberately analyze risk and discuss control measures to ensure safety of flight and crew.

Encompassing all of my time through Basic Combat Training (BCT), Warrant Officer Candidate School (WOCS), Flight School (FSXXI), and my time as an Aeromedical Evacuation Pilot stationed in Hawaii and Colorado, with one non-combat deployment to Southeast Asia and one combat deployment to Afghanistan.
