Started taking pictures in high school that led to starting my own company Best Pictures in Waupun, WI out of my parents home in 1988. For 13 years I owned and operated Best Pictures shooting weddings and sports documentaries. In 2003 merged Best Pictures with When We Were Young Productions owned by Tim Eichorst in Madison, WI. When We Were Young merged with PlayOn Sports/NHSF in 2013. Held the position of Feature Producer from 2013-15. In 2015 started a new business venture BattleLine Films. In 2006-07 I directed, shot and edited Brewers Str8Up for Fox Sports Wisconsin, following the Milwaukee Brewers around the country to give the viewer a taste of what it is like to be a major league baseball player. I have been shooting high school and college sports since 1988 with over 8,000 games under my belt. 2014 is my 25th year behind the camera and editing. I've learned to adjust to every format as video evolved through the years and relish in the quality ways to use different equipment to tell stories. The challenge of knowing you only have one chance to get the shot in sports is the thrill I found once my playing days faded away. I was drafted by the Milwaukee Brewers in 1986 out of Madison Area Technical College (now known as Madison College) where I received my BA degree in photography. I was inspired by NFL Films to start creating sports highlight films mainly because the photography was epic and there wasn't anything like that while I was playing.
